Dr. Sam Speron Says Winter Time Is A Great Opportunity For Laser Vein Removal Treatments (amazon) (shopzilla)

Park Ridge, IL (PRWEB) December 19, 2012

Dr. Sam Speron says winter time is a great opportunity for laser vein removal treatments. Laser vein removal is now a very common procedure that many men and women have been opting for in order to treat their spider and varicose veins. The presence of spider or varicose veins can be frustrating and may be caused by genetics, weight gain (especially obesity), pregnancy, sun exposure, lack of exercise or hormonal changes.

Usually laser treatments are more dangerous when patients are exposing their skin the the sun before laser sessions. Usually it is recommended that a patient avoid tanning or tanning beds for 2-4 weeks before a laser treatment. Failure to do so can result in an increased chance of getting a burn from the laser therapy. This is obviously less of a concern during the wintertime, unless of course, there is a vacation or prolonged sun exposure in the picture.

I definitely recommend laser vein removal in the winter time over summer treatments. This doesn’t mean we do not perform laser vein treatments in the summer months but patients have to be more honest and careful. If they have been tanning, it is always safer to delay the laser therapy, says Dr. Sam Speron, Chicago plastic surgeon and consumer advocated. Machines for laser vein removal are now more advanced and more effective while causing less pain. Laser removal is a great option for removal of both spider veins and varicose veins up to 1cm in size. However, safety is always our #1 concern!

Laser vein removal is usually fast and effective. Patients are advised to avoid any type of sun exposure and photosensitive medication for at least two weeks prior to treatment in order to minimize chances of burning. Treatments are usually spanned out 6-8 weeks apart. Usually there is minimal pain associated with the treatments; however, a topical numbing anesthetic can be prescribed if a patient has a lower pain tolerance. Also, a chiller (that blows cold air) is used at our medical spa to minimize any discomfort.

The laser vein removal treatment works by targeting the spider veins and then proceeding to cauterize the vein which after being closed off it will be reabsorbed by the body. When it comes to varicose veins, the laser treatment has been found effective in shrinking the size. Furthermore, laser vein removal has been found to be more effective, faster and a less painful way of removing the veins compared to sclerotherapy.

The presence of spider or varicose veins can be frustrating and may be caused by genetics, weight gain (especially obesity), pregnancy, sun exposure, lack of exercise or hormonal changes.

Varicose veins are distinguishable by their bulging, cord like appearance. They can appear twisted, swollen and above the surface. Varicose veins are usually red, blue or flesh colored and have been known to be painful.

Spider veins are more superficial and are recognizable by their web like appearance with short, extending and jagged lines. Fortunately, spider veins are not typically painful and if they are there it is most likely something else causing it.

I definitely recommend laser vein removal over sclerotherapy treatments. Sclerotherapy falls out of favor in comparison because of the higher complication risk and it is not usually as effective, says Dr. Sam Speron, Chicago plastic surgeon and consumer advocated. Dr. Sam Speron Reveals New Minimally Invasive In-Office Options for Cellulite Removal (amazon) (shopzilla)

Park Ridge, IL (PRWEB) May 07, 2013

Dr. Sam Speron Reveals New Minimally Invasive In-Office Options for Cellulite Removal.

Cellulite is a term to describe superficial pockets of trapped fat which cause uneven dimpling. Contrary to popular belief, cellulite is not related to obesity and affects all body types and sizes. It is estimated that over 80% of women over the age of 20 have cellulite.

Cellulite treatment options vary from more holistic approaches to medical procedures that target cellulite such as laser, Velasmooth, liposuction, fat injections and cellulite release. It has been found that exercise and a diet rich in fiber, fruits, and vegetables helps reduce cellulite. Exercise is helpful for reducing cellulite by increasing blood circulation, building muscle tone, and reducing body fat.

When opting for popular cellulite creams, it is best to get those that contain retinols as they improve skin texture to lessen the cellulite appearance. Medical devices that are known for being somewhat effective are Velasmooth and laser treatments. Velasmooth uses combined energy of bi-polar radio frequency and infrared light to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Laser cellulite removal is a popular non-surgical procedure which stimulates the breakdown of fat and cellulite.

“Cellulite is very common among women of many different body types,” says Dr. Sam Speron, Chicago plastic surgeon and consumer advocate. “There are several non-surgical medical treatment options as well as surgical options such as cellulite release with possible fat injections. I always advise a personal consultation but usually an in-office procedure done under local anesthesia without scars is helpful to release the cellulite for most patients!”

Dr. Speron is the founder and medical director of Dr. Speron Plastic Surgery. He is board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).

Dr Sam Speron confirms that Laser Mole Removal Was The #1 Procedure Done In Our Office Last Month (amazon) (shopzilla)

Park Ridge, IL (PRWEB) November 13, 2012

Dr Sam Speron states that laser mole removal was the #1 procedure done at the Park Ridge Medical Spa this past month.

The process of laser mole removal is simple. The laser targets the area with laser light energy. The mole absorbs the light energy and is then broken up. After the pigment is broken up it is then absorbed by the body through the healing process. Repeat treatments are usually required for full removal of the lesion.

Laser mole removal is a very popular procedure here at our office says Dr. Sam Speron, Chicago Laser Plastic Surgeon and consumer advocate. I especially recommend it for anyone that is unhappy with a non-raised pigmented mole that is of course not suspicious for skin cancer.
